Young Buckingham batsman Michael Wells will make his National Counties Championship debut for Bucks in their Eastern Division 2 game against Cumbria at Furness Cricket Club, starting on Sunday.
Wells is the one change from the Bucks side, who defeated Hertfordshire by ten wickets in two days to retain their hopes of promotion to Division 1. Wells, who was 12th man in that game, replaces Tring Park all-rounder Jack Rodnight.
Victory over Cumbria would give Tom Hampton’s team a chance to clinch promotion by beating Northumberland at Chesham the following week.

The Sausages are skippered by Gary Pratt, infamous for running out Ricky Ponting during the dramatic 2005 Ashes series.

Evan Williams is in line to make his debut for the County at the age of 17 after scoring 152 for the county development side against Scotland Under-19s.
Both Wyll Stanway and James McGown are in line for their Championship debuts having already represented the County in the One Day Trophy. Wyll debuted in 2019 whilst James, of course, has been ever present in the Trophy side in the current season.
Nathan Waterston, Sam Sharp and Matty Lowden are omitted from the previous squad. Waterston has a shoulder injury.
