Winslow United Have Reached The Spartan South Midlands League, Premier Division Play-Off Final After Victory On Wednesday Evening.
Second half goals from Dan Woolley and Harry Scott helped United win their semi-final tie with Kings Langley in front of an impressive attendance of 785.
United and Langley battled away in the first half, with Woolley’s lob, which bounced off of the top of the crossbar, the closest either team came to breaking the deadlock.
The United player gave his side the lead early in the second period when he pounced on a cross to put the ball in the net at the second attempt.

With nothing to lose, Langley committed players forward and pulled a goal back with five minutes of normal time remaining, through Izzy Hilaire.
It was Alex Woodfine’s side who stood firm though to progress into a Play-Off Final against FA Vase Finalists Cockfosters on Bank Holiday Monday. United host the game as they finished second in the table. Kick-off at Elmfields Gate will be 3pm.
